About the Workplace Investing Implementation Delivery team

The primary purpose of the WI Implementation Delivery team is to ensure that new Fidelity DC Pension Plans e.g. Master Trust pension schemes, Own Trust pension schemes, offshore saving plans and Group Personal Pension schemes are established to agreed timescales and parallelly manage ongoing corporate actions. The team ensures that implementations & corporate action projects meet Fidelity quality, efficiency, and product definitions.

Purpose of your role

The successful candidate will be responsible for covering all Implementation aspects of establishing DC schemes with Fidelity, supporting Corporate Actions/Client Drive Changes and will support the team with any process or regulatory changes.

This will include providing the client initial and ongoing detailed support around all the process requirements for onboarding client data from initial implementation through to asset transfer and role also covers corporate actions which includes the project management of any major changes in any Plan & investment design post set up. This will be throughout a variety of communication methods including Zoom meetings and email support. The role will require competent pension knowledge including Auto Enrolment, protections, such as Protected Tax-Free Cash, Crystallised Benefits, and regulatory requirements specifically around DC Pension Schemes. There will be a requirement to manage multiple projects and client requirements at one time.

The candidate is responsible for supporting the Implementation Project Manager in delivering to the client in an agreed timely manner and will be responsible for coordinating and executing all Implementation related activity to onboard scheme members onto Fidelity's Platform and to deliver corporate actions to an agreed timeline.

They will identify any operational issues as they arise and make recommendations to the Project Manager and Client for any required changes. They will also be pro-active in determining any other needs or concerns of the client and Operations department and act on them accordingly.

This role includes an element of process ownership, the individual will support the team in identifying process gaps and implementing changes within the team, as well ensuring procedures are up to date.

Your key accountabilities

  • Drive overall team performance through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Develop high-performing team members and identify future leaders.
  • Manage complex performance conversations including underperformance, career redirection, and talent calibration Work collaboratively with the Project Manager and Client to ensure we are on boarding high-quality data
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, continuous feedback, and accountability.
  • Have a good understanding of Fidelity systems and the downstream impact of activities taken during project
  • Translate organizational strategy into operational goals and execution plans.
  • Lead process transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Consult with direct reporting Manager or appropriate parties on issues requiring additional attention or decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for internal and external partners.
  • Influence cross-functional leaders and represent the team in senior-level forums.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and ensure smooth adoption across the team
  • Shape team culture, embed best practices, and champion company values.
  • Anticipate future skill and capacity needs and proactively plan workforce strategy.

Your skills and experience

  • Good education standard
  • Strong pension industry experience in Defined Contributions/Final Salary operations administration & implementation
  • Strong client facing experience including all communication methods
  • Good knowledge of retirement market
  • High Level of Microsoft Excel skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-starter, keen to take on responsibility and new projects
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to demonstrate abilities and experience in duties and responsibilities mentioned above
  • Ability to work well with various internal Fidelity departments at all levels
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems, plan for such events and problem solve
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Due to the nature of the position, the role would suit someone who is able to manage their own time and a workload that can be heavy at times.

. Good education standard ideally Degree level, IMC qualification or proven advanced pensions industry experience.

. Experience in Defined Contributions/Final Salary operations administration & Asset Transition.

. Good level of Excel knowledge including data presentation.

. Basic knowledge of pooled fund operations and fund accounting.

. Self-starter, keen to take on responsibility and new projects.

. Strong organisational skills, knowledge of running projects using Microsoft Project, PWB or equivalent Project Management tools an advantage .

. Able to demonstrate abilities and experience in duties and responsibilities mentioned above.

. Ability to work well with various internal Fidelity departments at all levels.

. Ability to anticipate potential problems, plan for such events and problem solve.

. Experience of client management, consulting and sales skills would be advantageous.

. Good written and verbal communication skills.

. Attention to detail.
