Job Purpose :
Monitor, maintain and control inventory of materials as per the requirements and disposal of surplus/obsolete inventory while ensuring timely availability of specific material at desired unit for smooth functioning of the plant
To ensure availability of Engineering Materials to plant at right time, right quality by maintaining optimum inventory for smooth operation of the plant.
Job Context & Major Challenges :
Chemicals Business of Aditya Birla Group produces Chlor-Alkali products among other Chemicals through seven units situated in different parts of the country. Eighth unit is under project phase. ABG is largest producer of Chlor Alkali in India with a market share of approx. 26%.
One of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities is based at Vilayat having the capacity to produce 1000 TPD of Caustic. The Unit also produces Chlorine derivates namely Chlorinated Paraffins (CP), Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC powder & liquid), Stable Bleaching Powder (SBP), Phosphoric Acid (PA), Aluminum Chloride (ALCP), SCO & CBGP.
The unit, located in the chemical hub of South Gujarat at Vilayat, is poised for an ambitious growth.
Major Challenges :
Key Result Areas :
KRA1 1. Inventory management: Implement the system of inventory control to ensure smooth functioning of the plant 1. Provide input wherever required in formulation of Stores system and ensure implementation of agreed upon material system and operating process
KRA2 1. Scrap/Surplus/Obsolete material management: Carry out collection, storage and disposal of scrap/obsolete/surplus material in the plant 1. Sort out obsolete inventory items with coordination of user department
KRA3 3. System Management (Safety, Sustainability & WCM)
Adhere to safety & statutory environmental requirements 1. Strictly adhere to safety norms & safe operational procedures
