We're Hiring: Frontend Software Engineer - Mission Control UI
Full-Time | Core Team
LAT Aerospace | Perception & Autonomy
At LAT Aerospace, we're building India's first clean-sheet hybrid-electric STOL aircraft and a next-generation autonomy stack powering aircraft for complex missions. Our team is kicking off a new chapter developing the full flight-control, obstacle-avoidance, GNSS-denied navigation, and swarm-coordination layers that will define LAT's autonomy architecture.
We're hiring a Frontend Software Engineer to build the high-performance interfaces that operators will rely on in real missions. You'll design and develop intuitive, responsive UIs for mission planning, telemetry visualization, swarm oversight, and real-time perception overlays.
What you'll do
- Build the mission-control UI for planning, executing, and monitoring autonomous UAV and swarm missions.
- Develop high-performance visualization components real-time maps, 3D/2D overlays, telemetry dashboards, and mission timelines.
- Implement UIs for video streams, perception outputs, alerts, and threat identification, ensuring clarity under operational stress.
- Optimize rendering, state management, and data flow to ensure low-latency responsiveness even under heavy mission loads.
- Build shared component libraries and UI frameworks that scale across LAT's broader mission-software ecosystem.
What we're looking for
- Strong experience building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and related tooling.
- Ability to design and architect scalable, maintainable UI systems for interactive, data-rich applications.
- Experience with real-time or event-driven interfaces (websockets, streaming APIs, telemetry, dashboards).
- Comfort working with geospatial tools, mapping libraries, or custom visualization layers.
- Bonus: Background in robotics, UAV control interfaces, or mission-planning tools.
Why LAT
- Core-team role building the autonomy brain of India's most ambitious aerospace startup.
- Ownership, speed, and the opportunity to define a new class of systems from scratch.
