Join the Web Solutions team, the digital experience arm of DSS (Datacom & Specialty Solutions)>> CSBU (Copper Solutions Business Unit), powering web-driven transformation across Cable assembly manufacturing operations. As the core web design and development team, we collaborate across the organization to deliver advanced web solutions—including web applications, dashboards, reports, and visualization tools that enable operational and business insights. The Frontend function acts as the UX and UI backbone, translating complex data and workflows into intuitive, performant, and accessible interfaces. What You Will Do
- Lead the design and development of scalable web applications.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and system test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of web applications using tools such as PyTest, Jest, Playwright, and Selenium.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to web developers, ensuring best practices in design, development, testing, and performance optimization.
- Build rich, responsive, and accessible user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (primarily React) and Python.
- Own and evolve reusable UI components, design systems, and frontend standards.
- Partner with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless end-to-end user experiences.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, frontend build optimization, and deployment readiness.
- Continuously evaluate new frontend technologies and recommend adoption where relevant.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure performance, security, and scalability of applications.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to development standards.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and implement feedback-driven improvements.
- Maintain documentation for architecture and development processes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in web application design and development.
- At least 2 years of experience in technical leadership or lead/senior engineering role.
- Experience owning or contributing to a design system.
- Strong experience with Python, modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and React (or equivalent frontend frameworks).
- Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and component-based design.
- Proficient with REST API integration from a frontend perspective.
- Experience with responsive design and UI principles.
- Knowledge in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes, Type script, UI/UX design tools like Figma, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms – AWS.
