Frontend & Interaction Engineer

The Role

This is not a traditional frontend role.

You own the interaction layer where AI systems meet human judgment. Your responsibility is to ensure interfaces are clear, accessible, interpretable, and never misleading — especially in high-stakes environments.

You operate with:

• Build focus: Product — apps, APIs, interaction layers

• Run focus: Present — how outcomes are delivered, explained, and consumed, you are accountable for preventing overconfident or ambiguous UX in AI-assisted workflows.

What You'll DoProduct & Interaction Ownership

• Build and evolve interaction flows across web platforms

• Own UX correctness, clarity, and accessibility

• Design interfaces that communicate uncertainty appropriately

• Ensure performance and resilient UI architecture

AI-Assisted Engineering

• Use AI to generate UI components, copy, and interaction logic

• Generate and expand UI test coverage with AI

• Explore edge cases and ambiguous behaviour

• Review and approve all AI-generated outputs

CI/CD & Operational Discipline

• Participate in CI pipelines for UI testing

• Own frontend test coverage and performance budgets

• Respect structured deployment workflows

• Understand rollout behaviour and production impact

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js or similar)

• Deep understanding of interaction design & accessibility (WCAG)

• Experience building complex, state-driven interfaces

• Strong UI testing and performance optimisation experience

• Comfortable working in AI-augmented engineering workflows

• High ownership mindset and strong product judgment
