About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team at IDX™. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in developing responsive, user-centric web applications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects for iconic brands such as Vodafone, Rolls Royce, and Diageo. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating design concepts into pixel-perfect interfaces, optimizing web performance, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to meet business objectives. You will play a crucial role in enhancing user experience through innovative frontend solutions, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, and supporting CMS-driven platforms, preferably Sitecore. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and capable of working in a fast-paced, support-driven environment with rotational shifts.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess strong proficiency in core frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. A solid understanding of UI/UX design principles is essential to create intuitive and engaging interfaces. Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services is required. Familiarity with image editing and optimization tools like Photoshop or similar software is necessary for basic visual adjustments. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders. Exposure to CMS platforms, especially Sitecore, is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of Node.js will be an added advantage. The candidate must be adaptable, with the ability to work in shifts, and possess strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Previous experience in support environments or fast-paced settings will be beneficial.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining responsive web interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, ensuring they are pixel-perfect and aligned with design specifications. You will translate design concepts into high-quality UI components, collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and implement business and user requirements. Optimizing web applications for speed, scalability, and performance will be a key part of your role. You will work with APIs to integrate backend services seamlessly into frontend applications, ensuring a smooth user experience. Additionally, you will perform image optimization and basic editing tasks using tools like Photoshop to support visual consistency. Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across devices is crucial. You will also support and maintain CMS-driven web applications, with a preference for experience in Sitecore. Regularly troubleshooting issues, debugging code, and implementing improvements will be part of your routine to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
