Job Profile: Frontend JavaScript Developer – Optimizely SaaS Migration

Location: Remote (WFH), India

Preferred experience: 4-6 years

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer with strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and headless CMS architectures to support the migration and development of enterprise digital experiences on Optimizely SaaS CMS. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable, responsive, and accessible web applications using React.js and Next.js, with a strong understanding of component-driven development, API integrations, and modern frontend engineering practices. This role will work closely with UX, backend, content, and platform teams to deliver high-performing digital experiences aligned with enterprise design systems and governance standards.

Responsibilities

·      Build modern, scalable, and responsive web applications using React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.

·      Develop reusable UI components and frontend patterns aligned with enterprise design systems.

·      Integrate frontend applications with headless CMS platforms, including Optimizely SaaS CMS APIs and content delivery services.

·      Participate in migration and modernization initiatives from legacy CMS platforms to headless architectures.

·      Implement responsive layouts with strong adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility.

·      Optimize applications for performance, SEO, Core Web Vitals, and scalability.

·      Collaborate with backend engineers, UX designers, architects, QA teams, and content authors throughout the SDLC.

·      Support CI/CD workflows, code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

·      Troubleshoot frontend issues and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices.

·      Ensure code quality through unit testing, linting, and adherence to frontend development standards.

Must - Have Qualifications:  

·      4–6 years of frontend development experience in modern JavaScript ecosystems.

·      Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

·      Hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js in enterprise-scale applications.

·      Experience working with headless CMS platforms and API-driven architectures.

·      Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern styling approaches such as Sass or Tailwind CSS.

·      Experience consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs.

·      Familiarity with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.

·      Experience with CI/CD pipelines and frontend build/deployment processes.

·      Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.

·      Strong understanding of component-based architecture and reusable frontend development prac.

Preferred Qualifications:

·      Experience working with Optimizely SaaS CMS or other enterprise DXP platforms.

·      Understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and hybrid rendering strategies.

·      Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse optimization, and frontend performance tuning.

·      Experience with accessibility implementation and WCAG compliance standards.

·      Familiarity with enterprise design systems and token-driven UI architectures.

·      Exposure to cloud-native deployment environments and CDN-based delivery architectures.

·      Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
