As a Frontend Developer (React Native), you'll work directly with the founding team to design and deliver features that make a tangible difference to India's motorcycling culture.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable mobile applications using React Native.
- Integrate and optimize complex mapping and geolocation features (Mapbox, Google Maps API) for real-time ride tracking and planning.
- Develop real-time features using WebSockets for live rider communication, location sharing, and community interactions.
- Connect frontend seamlessly with backend services (Node.js, Firebase, REST APIs) and manage state effectively for a smooth user experience.
- Implement robust user analytics and event tracking to measure feature performance and user engagement.
- Collaborate with product and community teams to ship features that directly impact real riders.
- Take ownership - from idea to deployment - iterating fast and learning faster. You will be responsible for your modules end-to-end in a production environment.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a React Native developer, preferably in a startup or a fast-paced product environment.
- Strong foundation in JavaScript, React Native, state management, and modern frontend tooling.
- Hands-on experience with real-time technologies like WebSockets and managing their lifecycle in a mobile app.
- Proven track record of working on and scaling large, complex applications with a significant user base.
- Experience with maps integration (Mapbox, Google Maps), geolocation APIs, and handling location data at scale.
- Experience with implementing user analytics, event tracking, and performance monitoring tools.
- A portfolio that shows a track record of shipping products end-to-end (personal projects, open-source, or freelance work count too).
- Passion for motorcycles is a huge plus but curiosity, ownership, and a builder's mindset matter more.
