We're Hiring | Frontend Engineer (SDE II)

Location: Bengaluru | Full-Time | 5–7 Years

At @Mitigata, our frontend is where customers understand and act on their cyber risk — if it's slow, confusing, or leaks data, we've failed them. You'll take a brief, turn it into a plan, build it, ship it, and keep it working in production, making sensible calls on state, data fetching, and component design without someone signing off on every line.

About the role:

You'll own a feature or module end to end — from brief and design review through production, monitoring, and bug triage. You'll build product UI in React, Next.js (App Router), and TypeScript — data-heavy tables, dashboards, and multi-step workflows; extend our shared shadcn/ui design system; make deliberate server/client state, data-fetching, and caching choices; align with backend on API contracts; keep performance in view (bundle size, large lists, Core Web Vitals); threat-model your own features (XSS, authz boundaries, sensitive data); and mentor one or two engineers.

What we're looking for:

5–7 years building production web apps, with features shipped end to end

Strong React & TypeScript; hands-on Next.js (App Router preferred)

Solid JS & browser fundamentals — event loop, async, rendering, HTTP & caching

Tailwind CSS & component-driven UI within a design system (shadcn/ui, Radix, or similar)

State & data fetching — React Query/SWR, Zustand/Redux/Context — and knowing when you need none

Testing habits — Jest/Vitest + React Testing Library; some Playwright/Cypress

Secure frontend coding as a habit — validation, output encoding, never trust the client, no secrets in the bundle

Nice to have:

Data-heavy dashboards — server-side pagination/filtering, charts, near-real-time updates

Accessibility (WCAG); Storybook / design-system contributions

Enough backend to read a Java/Python service + MongoDB basics

Background in cybersecurity or compliance products
