Role Description The Front Office Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at The Fern Hotels & Resorts in Vijayapura. This role oversees daily front office operations, including reception, reservations, guest check-in and check-out, and lobby management, ensuring smooth, efficient, and welcoming service. The supervisor coordinates front office team schedules, assigns duties, monitors performance, and provides guidance and support to maintain high service standards. Responsibilities include handling guest inquiries and concerns, managing room allocations and reservation changes, and ensuring accurate billing and reporting. The Front Office Supervisor collaborates with housekeeping and other departments to optimize guest experiences and maintains compliance with brand policies, safety procedures, and environmental standards.
Qualifications

  • Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in receptionist duties such as check-in/check-out, handling calls, and lobby and desk management.
  • Excellent customer service skills to manage guest inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a welcoming experience.
  • Experience with reservations management, including room allocations, booking modifications, and coordination with online and offline channels.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) and basic computer skills (MS Office, email, reporting).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and billing.
  • Prior front office or hospitality experience, preferably in hotels or resorts; supervisory experience is an advantage.
  • Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
