Primary Title: Front Office Executive Hospital Reception & Patient Registration
About The Opportunity
We are hiring for a front-office role within the multispeciality hospital sector providing outpatient, inpatient, and diagnostic services in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. This on-site position sits at the patient-facing heart of clinical operationsensuring smooth registration, appointment flow, billing coordination, and a positive first impression for patients and visiting families.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors; manage OPD/IPD registration, verify identity and collect required documentation accurately.
- Operate appointment scheduling systems and manage daily clinic rosters to optimise patient flow and minimise waiting times.
- Verify insurance details and authorisations; coordinate pre-authorisation with insurers and escalate discrepancies to billing/administration.
- Process payments and generate invoices using hospital billing systems; hand off billing exceptions to accounts team for resolution.
- Answer and triage incoming calls on multiline phone systems; provide clear information on appointments, services, and directions to departments.
- Maintain accurate patient records in EMR/HIS, update demographic and insurance data, and support file management and handover between departments.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience in a hospital front-desk, patient registration, or reception role (OPD/IPD exposure preferred).
- Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR); ability to update patient demographics and encounter data.
- Practical knowledge of appointment scheduling workflows and basic medical billing processes including cash/card collections.
- Proficiency in English and at least one regional language (Hindi/Marathi) for effective patient communication.
Preferred
- Experience with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes for corporate and government schemes.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel for simple reporting and maintaining daily logs.
