The Chemicals Business of The Aditya Birla Group has a turnover of around 3,500 crores with operations based in India, Thailand and China. There are six major product segments: Chlor-alkali, Epoxy, and Fluorine chemicals, Peroxides, Phosphates and Sulphites.
Chlor-Alkali Business in India has eight manufacturing locations: Grasim Chemical Division Nagda (M.P.), Grasim Chemical Division, Vilayat (Gujarat), Aditya Birla Nuvo, Veraval (Gujarat), Grasim Chemical Division, Rehla (Jharkhand), Grasim Chemical Division, Renukoot, Grasim Chemical Division, Karwar, Grasim Chemical Division, Ganjam (Odisha) and Grasim Chemical Division, BB Puram, Kakinada. ABG Chlor-Alkali Business (India) is headed by SBU Head. The Eight units put together are one of the largest manufacturers of Caustic Soda in India with an installed capacity of about 2450 TPD Caustic Soda and 2100 TPD Chlorine/Hydrochloric Acid.
The Grasim Chemical Division, Ganjam (Odisha) is manufacturing unit of Caustic Soda which has recently been acquired by the Chemical Business of the Aditya Birla Group and formally known as Jayshree Chemicals Ltd. At Grasim Chemical Division, Ganjam (Orissa), the present capacity of caustic soda is 250 TPD. Chemicals Business is largest producer of Chlor Alkali in India with a market share of approx. 23%. It is currently the dominant player in the Industry and the challenge is to maintain its dominance and increase market share to 30%. To attain market share of 30%, business is formulating aggressive growth plans which includes brown field expansions at existing unit locations, Green field projects and identifying the opportunities for merger and acquisition.
Job holder is responsible to prepare monthly MIS for the unit, fund planning, daily cash flow, TDS/tax returns and quarterly & annual accounts as per statutory requirements.

Assist in preparing monthly P&L account of value added Products 4. Support and prepare MIS related to Banks: CMA Report, Financial Follow up Reports, Finance Related Cost information Report, Stock and receivable Report, Surplus Statement, etc. |
| KRA2 | Costing: Co-ordinate, Compile and assist in preparing budgets and Projections for next 2 years under Planning & Budgeting exercise | 1. Support in gathering and compiling historical data for analysis 2. Check and verify data for various other expenses like Repairs & Maintenance, Salary & Wages, Administrative & Sales overheads and financial expenses such as Interest and Depreciation 3. Up-keep of Cost Audit Reports and Cost Audit in compliance with Company Law 4. Keep records of numerous data required for Cost Audit on monthly basis 5. Assist preparation of Cost Audit Reports within stipulated time to Company Law Board 6. Gather data on various risks on fixed assets, transit risk, vehicles, stock at various locations in the country, Public Liability (accident & natural calamities) for Plant and transportation of hazardous material |
| KRA3 | System Management (Safety, Sustainability & WCM): Adhere to safety & statutory environmental requirements | 1. Strictly adhere to safety norms & safe operational procedures 2. Strictly adhere to OHSAS & SA 8000 norms 3. Implement IMS, WCM and sustainability practices 4. Handle emergency situations like Liquid Chlorine leakages etc. under Disaster Management activities 5. Train the team to comply with these norms 6. Maintain process systems having zero effluent and zero accident |

Motivate employees and other stake holders for stretch targets through team building and two-way communication 5. Co-ordinate with HR Team for monitoring the development of shift personnel 6. Recommend trainings for skill development and ensure development plan prepared and implemented 7. Implement HR practices and maintain shop floor discipline 8.
