Job Description: Senior Frontend Developer
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced
Senior Frontend Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in
React JS, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node JS, and is comfortable owning features end-to-end — from UI architecture to API integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance web applications using React JS and TypeScript.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested JavaScript/TypeScript code following best practices.
- Build and consume RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and contribute to backend services using Node JS where needed.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards and best practices.
- Own and improve frontend architecture, state management, and component design systems.
- Debug and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of applications.
- Stay current with emerging frontend technologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in frontend/full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency in React JS (hooks, context API, component lifecycle, performance optimization).
- Solid experience with TypeScript — strong typing, interfaces, generics.
- Expert-level JavaScript (ES6+) fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Node JS for building APIs/backend services.
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar).
- Familiarity with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite) and package managers (npm/yarn).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL integration.
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive/mobile-first design principles.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices — testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress), code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Good To Have (Preferred)
- Experience with Next.js or other React-based frameworks.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with monorepo tools (Nx, Turborepo).
- Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) standards.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading a small team.
