Job Title: French Tutor
- Location: Fully Remote (Online)
- Working Hours (IST): 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday to Saturday
- Planned Start Date: As soon as possible
- Compensation: To be determined based on experience
- Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly (once every two weeks)
- Class Format: One-on-one or small groups (4-5 students)
- Minimum Qualifications: DELF B2 Equivalent Certificate

Toronto French Academy (TFA) is a specialized French language education institution dedicated to helping adults achieve Canadian Permanent Residency through French proficiency. Since our establishment, we have successfully served over 1,200 students with the support of 200+ certified tutors. Our primary focus is TEF and TCF exam preparation, empowering students to reach the CLB 7 scores required for immigration while fostering excellence in French language education.

Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced French Tutor to deliver high-quality instruction to students ranging from A1 to B2 proficiency levels, with specialized focus on TEF Canada exam preparation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in helping students achieve their language and immigration objectives while maintaining high standards of student satisfaction and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct live, interactive online French instruction tailored to individual student needs and small group dynamics
- Prepare students comprehensively for all components of the TEF Canada examination using proven pedagogical strategies
- Deliver demonstration sessions that effectively communicate program value and convert prospective students
- Systematically monitor and document student progress, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement
- Utilize digital tools including Google Meet, Drive, and Docs to facilitate effective virtual learning environments
- Adapt instructional methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and backgrounds of Canadian students and TEF certification candidates
Required Qualifications
- DELF B2 level certification (or equivalent) as a French language instructor
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional French teaching experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in engaging and motivating students through virtual platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of professionalism in all business interactions
- Proficiency with Google Meet, Drive, Excel, and Docs
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in preparing students for TEF Canada examination
- Background in teaching French to Canadian students or immigration-focused clientele
- TEF B2 level certification
