Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic French Teacher to teach Primary grades under both CBSE and Cambridge (Primary) curricula. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, learner-centered environment that develops students listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French, while aligning with curriculum standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach French to primary school students as per CBSE and Cambridge Primary frameworks
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, interactive lessons focusing on communication skills
- Develop students listening, speaking, reading, writing, and pronunciation abilities
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, activities, and assessments aligned with curriculum goals
- Conduct formative and summative assessments and maintain academic records
- Use activity-based, experiential, and play-based learning strategies
- Integrate songs, stories, games, and technology to enhance language learning
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress
- Participate in academic meetings, training sessions, and school events
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in French / Foreign Languages / Arts
- B.Ed or relevant teaching qualification (mandatory for CBSE)
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written French
- Knowledge of CBSE and Cambridge Primary curricula
- Experience teaching primary school students
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- DELF/DALF or equivalent French language certification
- Experience teaching Cambridge International curriculum
- Familiarity with NEP 2020 and competency-based education
