Position Title: French Language Examiner
Location: Work From Home
Reports to: Director
Role Overview
The French Examiner is responsible for assessing candidates proficiency in the French language through written, oral, and listening examinations. The role involves evaluating linguistic accuracy, fluency, comprehension, and overall communication ability according to established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and evaluate French language examinations (oral, written, and listening components).
- Ensure fair, consistent, and objective grading according to marking criteria and examination guidelines.
- Prepare and review question papers and evaluation rubrics when required.
- Provide feedback and performance reports on candidates, identifying areas for improvement to the HOD.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of examination materials and candidate results.
- Assist in the development of new assessment tools and examination formats.
- Manage and report any difficulties encountered during the assessment process to the HOD.
- Maintain professionalism and adherence to examination procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in French, Linguistics, Education, or related field.
- DELF/DALF certification or equivalent (preferred).
- Proven experience in teaching or examining French at academic or institutional levels.
- Excellent command of both French and English.
- Strong attention to detail, fairness, and consistency in evaluation.
- Good communication, organization, and reporting skills.
Work Environment
- Flexible/Remote work: Work from home for timings 6 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 9 pm.
- Part-time, freelance, or full-time basis depending on institution needs.
- Requires adherence to strict confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
