Responsibilities
- Monitor freight market trends, carrier rates, and service developments to support competitive sourcing strategies
- Develop and manage relationships with carriers and logistics partners to secure favourable commercial terms
- Support annual freight tenders, including bid evaluation, negotiations, and contract implementation
- Drive logistics cost optimisation while ensuring stable production and shipment planning
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and international affiliates to align operational requirements
- Resolve operational issues and contribute to continuous process improvements
- Collect, validate, and consolidate logistics data for reporting and forecasting
- Prepare shipment reports, volume forecasts, and maintain freight rate databases
- Generate reports, presentations, and market intelligence updates for stakeholders
- Execute weekly payment processes and support monthly financial closing activities
- Verify billing accuracy, freight charges, and supporting documentation
- Liaise with IT teams on system enhancements, troubleshooting, and bidding platform maintenance
- Support system and process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy
- Assist with departmental initiatives and ad hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in logistics, preferably within shipping lines or NVOCC environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience in freight rate analysis, reporting, and data management
- Familiarity with Incoterms is an added advantage
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems is an added advantage
