Job Summary

The Sales Manager drives customer acquisition and revenue growth by leading the sales team, developing strategic business plans, and executing sales initiatives to strengthen market presence and exceed targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales team to achieve growth and meet sales targets
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to expand the customer base and enhance market position
  • Oversee sales operations by creating business plans focused on revenue growth and cost control
  • Recruit, set goals, coach, and evaluate sales representatives to optimize team performance
  • Motivate and counsel the sales team while providing product and service training
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting customer relationships by addressing client needs and collaborating closely
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts and budgets to management for informed decision-making
  • Monitor market trends, identify new opportunities, and analyze competitor activities to inform sales strategies

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of proven Sales Manager experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management sectors, with a strong focus on business-to-business sales
  • Skilled in designing and executing sales strategies to drive business growth
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with a history of closing business deals
  • Ability to develop detailed sales plans and analyze deal profitability using strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Expertise in managing customer relationships at all organizational levels, including senior executives
  • Effective leadership, management, and motivational skills for guiding a sales team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
