Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Forwarder – Operations professional to manage end-to-end logistics operations across Air, Sea, and Land transportation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in shipment coordination, freight documentation, customs processes, and stakeholder communication to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end freight forwarding operations for import and export shipments.
- Coordinate Air, Ocean, and Road shipments with carriers, transporters, and logistics partners.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation including Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Airway Bill, Delivery Orders, and customs-related documents.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and trade requirements.
- Track shipments proactively and provide timely status updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Resolve shipment delays, operational issues, and logistics discrepancies effectively.
- Maintain strong communication with vendors, freight agents, shipping lines, airlines, and customers.
- Ensure cost-effective transportation planning while maintaining service quality.
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate operational records and logistics reports.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of Import/Export procedures and freight documentation.
- Knowledge of Air Freight, Ocean Freight, and Land Transportation operations.
- Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and compliance regulations.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, or logistics software.
- Problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics Operations.
- Experience working with international freight forwarders or logistics companies is preferred.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and shipping regulations.
- SAP or logistics ERP exposure will be an added advantage.
