We are looking for a Freight Factoring Operations Manager with prior experience at a U.S.-based factoring company, preferably within the trucking or transportation industry. This person will play a key role in helping build and manage Truxo's factoring operations from the ground up.
The ideal candidate understands the day-to-day workings of freight factoring, including carrier onboarding, document review, invoice handling, broker verification, funding coordination, customer communication, and collections support. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day freight factoring operations
- Support onboarding of carriers and collect required documents
- Review invoices, rate confirmations, PODs, BOLs, and related paperwork before funding
- Coordinate invoice verification and broker communication
- Help manage funding workflows and ensure timely processing
- Monitor account activity and support collections or follow-up as needed
- Maintain strong relationships with carrier clients and provide excellent account support
- Identify risk issues, fraud concerns, and documentation gaps
- Help build and improve internal workflows, SOPs, and operational controls
- Work closely with leadership and product teams to help shape Truxo's factoring processes and systems
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working at a U.S.-based freight factoring company
- Strong understanding of factoring operations in the trucking industry
- Experience with carrier onboarding, invoice review, verification, and funding processes
- Familiarity with freight documents such as invoices, rate confirmations, PODs, and BOLs
- Good understanding of broker risk, payment cycles, and operational red flags
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts or workflows
- Comfortable working in a startup environment where processes are still being built
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with owner-operators, small fleets, and trucking companies
- Exposure to collections, credit review, or risk assessment
- Experience using factoring software, TMS platforms, or transportation operations systems
- Ability to help design better operational workflows and controls
