Role Description The Freight Broker role at GTSW Transocean Pvt. Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The Freight Broker will source and secure freight from shippers, negotiate rates and terms with carriers, and coordinate transportation to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. Daily responsibilities include managing load bookings, tracking shipments, resolving transit issues, and maintaining accurate documentation and records. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers, monitoring market rates, and identifying opportunities to optimize routes and capacity. The Freight Broker will collaborate with internal teams to support smooth operations, provide status updates, and uphold service quality and compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in freight negotiation, rate analysis, and carrier relationship management.
- Proficiency in logistics coordination, load planning, and shipment tracking.
- Ability to manage documentation, contracts, and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Effective communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills for working with shippers and carriers.
- Solid organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with using transportation management systems, spreadsheets, and basic office software.
- Prior experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation operations is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
