Freelance Video Editor

Role Description This is a Freelance Video Editor role based in Lucknow. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling raw footage into engaging video content for brand campaigns, social media, ads, and web experiences. Day-to-day tasks include organising and trimming clips, adding transitions and effects, synchronising audio, performing basic to advanced color correction, and incorporating motion graphics or on-screen text where needed. The role also involves collaborating with the creative and marketing teams to understand briefs, align edits with brand guidelines, and optimize videos for different digital platforms and formats. The Video Editor will be expected to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a consistent, high-quality visual style across all deliverables.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including working with various formats, aspect ratios, and platforms (social, web, and ads).
• Proficiency in Video Colour Grading and basic color correction to ensure consistent, on-brand visuals.
• Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to create intros, lower thirds, titles, overlays, and simple animations.
• Hands-on experience with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve; After Effects or similar for motion graphics).
• Solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, audio synchronization, and visual composition for digital-first content.
• Ability to interpret creative briefs, take feedback constructively, and collaborate effectively with marketing and design teams.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines on-site.
• Relevant education or certification in film, media, design, or a related field is preferred; a strong portfolio of prior work is essential.
