Role Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Linux/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Linux and Windows system administration, cloud infrastructure, security compliance, and automation. The consultant will play a critical role in maintaining secure, compliant, and automated environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) while supporting DevOps pipelines and vulnerability remediation initiatives.
This role requires a senior-level engineer capable of operating across infrastructure operations, automation, security compliance, and customer-facing engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, patch, and secure Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating systems.
- Implement and maintain security compliance aligned with NIST 800-53, CIS benchmarks, and customer-specific baselines.
- Design, manage, and support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services including compute, storage, networking, and IAM.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform (mandatory) and Ansible.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and customer self-service deployments.
- Perform vulnerability scanning, analysis, and remediation across OS and application layers.
- Develop scripts and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell to streamline operational tasks.
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders on architecture, security, and compliance initiatives.
- Support incident management, system upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and compliance artifacts.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Linux Systems / Infrastructure Engineer (Red Hat preferred).
- Strong Windows administration experience, including hardening and security baselines.
- Proven hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Expert-level experience with Terraform and solid experience with Ansible.
- Strong understanding of NIST 800-53, CIS benchmarks, and enterprise security compliance frameworks.
- Experience in vulnerability scanning and remediation using industry-standard tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across OS, cloud, and networking layers.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with OCI DevOps services and pipelines.
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanners such as Tenable, Qualys, or similar tools.
- Solid networking knowledge (DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, Load Balancers).
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
