Role Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Freelance SAP ABAP S/4HANA Developer with strong expertise in ABAP on HANA, Clean Core remediation, and BTP integration. The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on experience in ABAP OO, RAP, OData, CDS Views, and system integrations using IDocs, SOAP services, and CPI.
This role requires a senior technical consultant who can work independently, optimize performance, modernize legacy code, and support cloud-ready S/4HANA development aligned with Clean Core principles.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Technical Delivery
- Design, develop, and unit test ABAP development objects in S/4HANA environment
- Work on ABAP OO-based modular and scalable solutions
- Develop and enhance CDS Views and OData Services for Fiori apps and analytics
- Implement RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) based applications
- Perform Clean Core remediation and ensure ATC compliance
Integration & Interface Development
- Create and troubleshoot IDocs for SAP and non-SAP integrations
- Configure and support AIF (Application Interface Framework)
- Design and consume SOAP Web Services using SOAMANAGER
- Support SAP CPI integration scenarios
Optimization & Debugging
- Analyze legacy code and implement performance tuning improvements
- Conduct deep debugging and root cause analysis
- Improve code efficiency and system performance
Documentation & Collaboration
- Prepare and update Technical Specifications
- Support interface redesign and optimization
- Participate in knowledge transfer sessions with client teams
- Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in SAP ABAP on S/4HANA
- ABAP OO (Object-Oriented Programming) with modular programming experience
- Hands-on experience with ABAP for Cloud & Clean Core remediation
- ATC compliance implementation experience
