We're looking for a sharp, culturally aware
Freelance Reporter (Entertainment & Media) to create compelling, accurate, and audience-focused stories from the world of film, television, digital culture, and the wider media landscape. This role goes beyond basic coverage you will spot trends, break stories, and bring depth, context, and originality to fast-moving entertainment narratives. From pitching ideas to producing publish-ready content across digital and social platforms, you'll help shape how audiences understand the industry, its personalities, and its influence on society. You will work closely with the editorial team to ensure strong storytelling, credibility, and relevance while maintaining the highest editorial standards.

Requirements
Strong Entertainment Reporting Experience:
Proven experience in covering entertainment stories, with a deep understanding of the Hindi film industry, OTT space, television, and the broader arts and cultural landscape.
Excellent Industry Network:
Well-established contacts across Mumbai's entertainment, arts, and cultural circles, with the ability to secure strong access to celebrities, filmmakers, artists, and key industry voices. Capable of arranging interviews in Mumbai and coordinating interviews in other cities when required.
Interviewing & Storytelling Skills:
Demonstrated experience in conducting high-quality celebrity interviews, with a knack for asking sharp, engaging questions and presenting stories with unique angles that go beyond routine coverage.
Editorial Collaboration & Trend Awareness:
Ability to work closely with the editorial lead in Delhi, regularly track emerging trends, pitch story ideas, discuss potential angles, and collaboratively finalise stories before execution.
Speed & Competitive Edge:
Quick turnaround on stories, with the ability to deliver timely, accurate content and proactively alert the team about major upcoming developments in the entertainment space.
Camera-Friendly & Multi-Platform Ready:
Comfortable facing the camera for interviews and explainers, with experience producing content for digital and social platforms, in line with BBC Hindi's editorial standards
