Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Full-Stack Developer to join an exciting project involving data-intensive applications for the petroleum/energy domain.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, MongoDB, and tRPC, with the ability to build scalable, production-ready applications.

Frontend

Expert-level TypeScript & JavaScript
React
Material UI (MUI)
React Hook Form
Experience building complex, data-heavy UIs

Backend

Node.js
Express.js
tRPC
REST/API development
Strong understanding of end-to-end type safety

Database

MongoDB
Schema design for complex/relational-like data
Query optimization and performance tuning
Experience handling large datasets and time-series data

Tools & Engineering

Git
Docker preferred
Unit & integration testing
Production deployment experience

Key Responsibilities

Architect and develop new features across the full application stack
Build responsive and data-visualization-heavy interfaces using React + MUI
Implement complex forms and validation using React Hook Form
Develop type-safe APIs using Node.js, Express.js & tRPC
Design and optimize MongoDB schemas and queries
Work with large volumes of technical/time-series data
Maintain strong TypeScript standards across the application
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
Collaborate with petroleum engineers and product managers to convert domain requirements into technical solutions
Ensure application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability

Domain Knowledge

Experience or strong interest in petroleum engineering / energy technology is highly desirable.
