Job Title: Freelance Online Teacher (One-on-One with American Students)

Job Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking passionate, reliable, and experienced Freelance Online Tutors to deliver one-on-one virtual reading and English sessions to children in the United States through our interactive learning app.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with American children and a proven track record of effective online instruction. A background in supporting students with dyslexia or learning differences will be a strong advantage.

This is a freelance, remote positionperfect for educators who are enthusiastic about helping children improve their reading fluency, comprehension, and confidence in a flexible, supportive virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct engaging and interactive one-on-one online tutoring sessions with students using our learning app.
  2. Design and implement individualized learning plans based on each student's unique needs, skill level, and progress.
  3. Utilize evidence-based reading strategies to support children with dyslexia and other learning differences.
  4. Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to teaching strategies as needed.
  5. Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on performance and improvement areas.
  6. Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
  7. Collaborate with our internal development team to share feedback and suggestions for improving the learning app.
  8. Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in literacy instruction and special education.
  9. Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging virtual classroom that fosters student motivation and confidence.
  10. Follow all company guidelines regarding confidentiality, professionalism, and online safety.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Special Education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience teaching American children in an online or in-person setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach reading and literacy skills effectively to children of diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent spoken English, clear pronunciation, and the ability to adapt communication styles to young learners.
  • Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills in a virtual environment.
  • Proficiency with online platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, or similar)
  • Certification in Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, or other structured literacy programs (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Virtually presentable demeanor well-groomed, professional appearance, and appropriate online etiquette.
