Job Title: Kong API Gateway / Kong Konnect Engineer
We are looking for an experienced professional with strong expertise in Kong Gateway and Kong Konnect to design, develop, secure, and manage enterprise API and microservices architectures. The candidate will be responsible for implementing API Gateway solutions, API security, traffic management, monitoring, and cloud-native integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement API Gateway solutions using Kong Gateway
- Configure and manage Kong Konnect control plane and API management platform
- Develop and manage RESTful and microservices-based API architectures
- Configure plugins for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, logging, and security
- Implement API lifecycle management and governance
- Work with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native environments
- Configure API routing, load balancing, and traffic management
- Integrate APIs with backend applications and third-party services
- Monitor API performance, analytics, and troubleshooting
- Manage API developer portal and API documentation
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for API deployments
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of API infrastructure
