Freelance Hardware Design Experts – Short-Term Assignment (Hyderabad)

If you are a freelancer, independent consultant, or a hardware design expert looking for a challenging short-term assignment, this opportunity is for you.

We are seeking 2 experienced Hardware Engineers to support the creation of a PCBA Center of Excellence (CoE) by developing comprehensive Hardware Design Documents (HDD) and System Design

Documents (SDD).

Location: Hitech City, Hyderabad (Hybrid)

Duration: 3 to 6 Months (Contract Assignment)

What You'll Do

Study existing schematics, Gerber files, BOMs, and design documentation.
Work directly with R&D teams across multiple sites to understand design intent and functionality.
Define and document:
Board functions
Critical circuit blocks
CTQ (Critical-to-Quality) components
Design assumptions and constraints
System-level specifications
Create HDD/SDD documentation detailed enough for engineers to independently develop test strategies and identify VAVE opportunities.
Drive technical discussions, challenge assumptions, and escalate risks or schedule concerns when necessary.

What We're Looking For

Strong hardware design and development experience.
Ability to interpret complex schematics and PCB layouts.
Experience collaborating with R&D and product engineering teams.
Excellent technical documentation skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Confidence to push back when requirements are unclear and drive closure on actions.
Ability to work independently and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
