Freelance GTM Consultant (Client Hire)

Flexing It has partnered with Our client, a top tier management consulting firm is looking to engage with an Independent Consultant. A consultant with deep expertise in Indias gold loan industry to support a strategic engagement with our client. The role involves a focused 45 hour contribution over the next 23 weeks, with the possibility of joining a client interaction.

As part of an ongoing project, we are conducting a detailed route-to-market deep-dive for client's gold loan business. We are looking to onboard a senior industry expert who can share actionable insights and first-hand experience in building and scaling successful gold loan operations in India.

Expertise Areas:

GTM & Operating Model Design:

Branch setup (location strategy, cost structure, security, etc.)

Manpower strategy (staffing, hiring practices, compensation)

Sourcing strategy (customer acquisition channels, field vs balance transfer)

Gold evaluation methodology (accuracy, audit practices)

Disbursement process and digitization level

Customer Proposition:

Marketing and trust-building campaigns

Acquisition channels and spends

Scale-Up Strategy:

Expansion playbook: branch/headcount growth, operating model shifts

Skills Required

• Extensive experience in gold loan businesses, especially in operating model setup and scaling strategies across Tier 1 and Tier 2+ locations
• Senior leadership roles such as CEO, CBO, CSO, COO, Regional Business Heads
• Background in top gold loan institutions like Muthoot Finance, Muthoot FinCorp, Manappuram Finance
