As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Data Engineer Consultant who can design, build, and optimise modern data workflows while integrating multiple data sources, automation tools, and analytics platforms.

The Role

You will be responsible for building robust data pipelines, integrating APIs, developing web scraping solutions, automating workflows, and delivering business intelligence solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise in data engineering, API integrations and automation, data extraction through web scraping, and analytics platforms to support efficient data-driven decision-making.

Data Engineering & Pipeline Development

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines

Perform ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data

Develop automated workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting

Implement API integrations, web scraping solutions, and AI-driven automation where required

Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance optimization

Work with APIs including:

Google Sheets API

Excel / Microsoft Graph APIs

OpenAI APIs and AI automation workflows

Third-party SaaS data integrations

Develop automation using:

Python scripting

Power Automate workflows

Cloud automation tools

Web Scraping & Data Collection

Develop scalable web scraping solutions

Extract, clean, and structure large datasets

Handle dynamic websites, APIs, and structured sources

Ensure ethical and compliant data collection practices

Analytics & Business Intelligence

Build dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools

Create automated reporting pipelines

Support business decision-making with actionable insights

Integrate data sources for real-time reporting

Cloud & Platform Experience

Experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem

Data storage, compute services, and automation pipelines

Cloud-based analytics and scalable infrastructure

Technical Execution

Strong programming skills in Python

Experience handling large datasets and automation scripts

Experience with Excel automation and reporting systems

Ability to document workflows and maintain clean code practices

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Strong Python programming skills

Hands-on experience using AI in Python for content generation, prompt engineering, and workflow automation.

Data engineering and automation experience

Web scraping expertise

API integration experience (Google Sheets, Excel, OpenAI, etc.)

Power BI or BI tool experience

Azure cloud experience

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

Power Automate or similar workflow tools

AI-driven automation project exposure

Database optimisation knowledge

Modern data stack familiarity
