We are seeking an expert-level Automotive AI Engineer with deep specialization in camera-based computer vision and AI lighting systems. The role will guide on designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven computer vision solutions for intelligent high-beam control, including accurate detection of oncoming vehicles and rear-approaching vehicles, to enable glare-free adaptive lighting in next-generation automotive platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of advanced computer vision algorithms for detecting oncoming and rear-approaching vehicles using mono/stereo camera data.
- Architect and implement AI/ML models for adaptive high-beam and glare-free lighting systems, ensuring robustness across diverse driving conditions (night, rain, fog, urban/highway).
- Drive end-to-end image and video processing pipelines, including preprocessing, object detection, classification, and multi-object tracking.
- Own model training, validation, benchmarking, and performance evaluation using large-scale automotive datasets.
- Collaborate closely with embedded software, hardware, and system teams to deploy models on automotive-grade SoCs/ECUs under real-time constraints.
- Optimize models for latency, memory footprint, power efficiency, and functional safety requirements.
- Support system-level integration with ADAS lighting controllers and vehicle ECUs.
- Provide technical leadership, including design reviews, documentation, and regular progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay current with state-of-the-art automotive vision, AI techniques, and regulatory trends, and apply best practices to production systems.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience in AI, computer vision, or embedded automotive systems.
- Strong expertise in computer vision and deep learning (CNNs, object detection, tracking).
- Experience with ADAS or automotive perception systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of camera-based detection pipelines.
- Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV.
- Understanding of real-time embedded systems and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with automotive standards (ISO 26262 is a plus)
