Position Summary
The Technical Lead is responsible for leading the technical delivery of observability and monitoring initiatives within customer transformation programs. The role combines hands-on engineering expertise with technical leadership, ensuring successful onboarding, migration, implementation, and operation of applications on the Splunk platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Delivery Leadership:
- Lead a team of engineers delivering observability solutions across multiple applications and migration waves.
- Own technical delivery quality, risks, and timeline for assigned workstreams.
- Coordinate implementation activities between customer teams, vendors, and internal delivery teams.
- Provide technical coaching, onboarding, and mentoring for engineers.
- Customer & Vendor Engagement:
- Communicate directly with customer engineering teams, architects, and external vendors.
- Lead technical workshops, implementation meetings, troubleshooting sessions, and migration reviews.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point during delivery.
- Hands-on Technical Activities:
- Support application onboarding and migration to Splunk.
- Configure and optimize:
- Dashboards
- Alerts
- Monitoring rules
- Data pipelines
- Perform:
- Log analysis
- Performance analysis
- Root cause investigation
- Data validation
- Install and troubleshoot:
- Splunk agents
- OpenTelemetry Collectors
- Instrumentation libraries
- Review application instrumentation and source code where required.
- Support complex migration and integration activities.
- Planning & Estimation:
- Contribute to technical assessments, implementation planning, and effort estimation.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and technical constraints.
- Support proposal development and customer technical reviews.
Experience & Qualifications
- 7+ years of IT experience.
- 3+ years leading engineering or implementation teams.
- Experience with Splunk, OpenTelemetry, observability platforms, or enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Experience working in customer-facing delivery environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder communication skills.
- Professional English communication skills.
