Job Requirements

Role - FPGA Architect

Technical Skills

  • Good Understanding in deriving digital ASIC/FPGA requirements specification from higher-level (system or board-level) requirements specifications.
  • Proficient in crafting architecture to meet the FPGA requirements.
  • Expert in RTL Design using VHDL or Verilog
  • Should be able to create / review FPGA architecture document, Detailed design documents, Timing Diagrams, State Machine Diagrams etc
  • Good understanding of FPGA Internals Internal Memory, IO Blocks, High speed transceivers etc
  • Experience in writing performance critical RTL logic
  • Should be able to select third party or vendor IP cores based on FPGA requirements and integrate them into the system
  • Experience working with Xilinx and Altera devices
  • Experience using soft processor cores in FPGA such as microblaze
  • Very good understanding on RTL synthesis, Implementation, Static Timing Analysis and correcting timing violations.
  • Expertise in analysing Static Timing Analysis reports
  • Experience in timing closure of high speed designs
  • Should be able to support hardware validation of FPGA design
  • Should have excellent debugging skills, Should be able to identify root cause of bugs and fix them
  • Experience directing a team of engineers for technical excellence
  • Experience in developing video processing systems in FPGA
  • Experience to standard interfaces like AXI-4, AXI-S, Ethernet, PCIe etc

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand customer requirements and develop FPGA architecture design
  • Identify independent modules and guide engineers to implement the FPGA design
  • Ownership of all the FPGA development activities in the project
  • Build good rapport with customer
  • Mentor junior design engineers in the team
  • Provide guidance for timing closure
  • Support team in identifying root cause and fixing issues reported during hardware validation

Would Be a Plus

  • Exposure to hardware and firmware
  • Experience developing FPGA designs for medical domain
  • Exposure to FPGA SoC
  • Experience leading FPGA development team of atleast 10 members

Communication

  • Good and strong verbal and written communication to involved stakeholders
  • Should be able to conduct fruitful discussion with hardware, firmware and verification team on high levels, architecture, technical issues faced etc.

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering - Electronics Engineering
  • Years of Experience : 12 - 15 Years
