Founding Talent Acquisition Specialist

Zingle AI Research Lab is a San Francisco based deep-tech startup building an AI-native platform for analytics teams. Backed by Accel and Nexus. Our team is AI PhDs, researchers, senior technologists, and people who've started companies before.

We're hiring our first recruiter. Right now the founders do all the hiring, and it's the thing slowing us down.

The job is sourcing and closing. You'll spend most of your week writing outreach to people who aren't looking, and the rest of it on the phone convincing someone to leave a stable job. Scheduling is the smallest part of this.

What you'll actually own:

• Hiring across engineering, AI/research, product and GTM
• Outbound sourcing from zero. LinkedIn, GitHub, Slack communities, referrals, cold email. No inbound pipeline exists yet
• JDs and outreach copy, and iterating on them when reply rates are bad
• Interview loops and scorecards. Right now different interviewers ask different things and grade differently
• Comp conversations and competing offers
• The ATS, and the numbers that come out of it
• Careers page, and showing up wherever our candidates are
• Hiring plan and headcount conversations with the founders

We work 6 days a week for the next 4 months. You'll be explaining that to candidates, so you should be okay with it.

What we need:

• 3+ years recruiting, ideally tech roles at a startup
• You've sourced passive candidates. If your last job was screening inbound applications this will be a rough transition
• Enough technical judgment to read a resume and tell a real backend engineer from someone who closed a lot of tickets
• You can pitch a company nobody has heard of against a FAANG offer and win some of the time
• You write well. Most first contact is text and generic outreach gets ignored
• You're fast

Useful but not required: hiring for AI/ML or data infra, hiring across both India and US, or having built a referral channel that actually produced hires.

Location: Bengaluru. In-person, not hybrid, not remote.
