About the Role

Sengol.ai is building an AI-native Risk intelligence platform. As a Founding Engineer, you will work directly with the founders to architect, build, and scale core AI systemsincluding RAG pipelines, LLM microservices, and data engineering components.

We are seeking engineers who embrace AI-augmented development, iterate quickly, and are ready to tackle complex, evolving challenges using AI-assisted coding workflows.

Engineers whose experience is limited to purely traditional coding practices may find this role misaligned.

Interviews will focus on your ability to work with AI-driven development environments (e.g., Claude, Cursor), system design depth, and end-to-end execution.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end AI features: RAG pipelines, LLM inference layers, embeddings, vector search workflows.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python/Node; deploy using GCP Cloud Run.
• Own CI/CD pipelinesautomate testing, releases, and observability.
• Design and optimize data ingestion, processing, and retrieval modules.
• Contribute to front-end development (React/Next.js) with a willingness to learn rapidly.
• Collaborate on product vision, architecture decisions, and the engineering roadmap.
• Operate with a founder mindset: velocity, ownership, and resilience.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python or Node with proven AI/LLM development experience.
• Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines, vector DBs, embeddings, and prompt/context engineering.
• Solid knowledge of GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Firestore, IAM).
• Familiarity with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build).
• Ability to work across the full stack (frontend + backend).
• Experience with AI-augmented development, agentic workflows, or rapid prototyping.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Devin-style workflows).
