Founding Head of Marketing
We are building a collaborative AI platform for modern legal teams. Trusted by 20,000+ legal professionals and 500+ law firms and in-house teams globally, we enable lawyers to streamline research, document review, drafting, compliance workflows, and institutional knowledge management within a unified AI-powered environment.
Unlike generic AI tools, we are designed around real legal workflows and enterprise-scale governance helping legal organizations operate faster, more consistently, and at a fraction of the cost of traditional legal AI platforms.
As we accelerate US market growth, we are hiring our Founding Head of Marketing the first dedicated marketing leader to own the full demand generation engine and build the brand from the ground up.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity to be the first full time marketing hire at a high-growth legal AI company with an established global customer base. You will own the entire marketing function strategy, execution, and infrastructure and work directly with the CEO and sales leadership to drive pipeline, brand authority, and enterprise adoption.
This is not a brand-only or strategy-only role. We need someone who can think at the executive level and also roll up their sleeves to run campaigns, configure tooling, write copy, and ship experiments every week.
What You''ll Own
Demand Generation & Performance Marketing
- Own the full-funnel demand gen strategy: paid search, paid social, retargeting, and display
- Plan, execute, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn, and relevant B2B channels
- Build and manage attribution models to track pipeline contribution from first touch to close
- Define and manage CAC, CPL, MQL, and pipeline targets in collaboration with sales
SEO & Content Strategy
- Develop and execute a scalable SEO strategy targeting legal technology buyers, law firm decision-makers, and in-house counsel
- Own keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and content calendar
- Build topical authority across legaltech, AI governance, compliance, and workflow automation themes
- Commission and edit long-form content, thought leadership, and comparison pages that drive organic pipeline
Outbound & Sales Enablement
- Design and run multi-channel outbound sequences targeting law firms, in-house legal teams, and enterprise accounts
- Build and manage outbound infrastructure using Instantly, Apollo, or equivalent sequencing platforms
- Create and maintain sales collateral: decks, one-pagers, case studies, competitive battlecards, and objection-handling guides
- Partner with sales leadership on ICP definition, messaging refinement, and conversion optimization
Marketing Automation & CRM
- Own and administer HubSpot as the central marketing and revenue operations platform
- Build nurture workflows, lifecycle campaigns, and lead scoring models inside HubSpot
- Configure and manage Customer.io for product-led, behavioral, and lifecycle email programs
- Ensure clean data hygiene, lead routing, and CRM-to-sales handoff processes
Brand & Positioning
- Develop and maintain our brand voice, messaging framework, and positioning across all channels
- Drive awareness and credibility in the US legal market through targeted content, webinars, and event presence
- Build the company''s presence on LinkedIn and other professional channels frequented by legal decision-makers
- Represent our marketing narrative to enterprise customers, investors, and institutional partners
Analytics & Reporting
- Implement full-funnel marketing analytics and a unified reporting dashboard
- Report weekly on pipeline contribution, campaign performance, and channel ROI to the executive team
- Run structured experimentation: A/B tests on copy, landing pages, sequences, and CTAs
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
- Proven track record owning demand generation and driving measurable pipeline contribution
- Hands-on expertise with HubSpot/Instantly or similar tools (workflows, sequences, reporting)
- Working knowledge of Customer.io or equivalent behavioral email platforms
- Strong SEO fundamentals: keyword strategy, technical SEO, content planning, and link building
- Comfortable running paid campaigns across Google and LinkedIn independently
- Exceptional written communication able to write crisp, high-converting copy across formats
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to build reports, interpret trends, and make decisions from data
- Ability to operate as an individual contributor while thinking strategically as a founding team member
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience marketing to legal professionals, law firms, or enterprise legal teams
- Background in legaltech, compliance tech, or enterprise SaaS
- Familiarity with the B2B legal technology buying process and procurement cycles
- Experience at a high-growth startup during a US market expansion or 0-to-1 phase
- Comfort operating across the full stack: strategy, copywriting, design briefs, and tool configuration
- Understanding of AI governance narratives and how to market responsibly in regulated industries
