We are building a platform that powers digital art displays in airports—curated screens showcasing artwork for sale, complete with artist details, pricing, and QR codes linking directly to purchase pages. This is a self-funded venture backed by a proven founder with deep industry networks, a successful track record (including a tech company exit at age 18), and a clear product vision. Job Description
Founding Full-Stack Engineer
About the Role As the Founding Full-Stack Engineer, you will be the primary technical leader responsible for building the entire platform from the ground up. You will work directly with the founder, who will provide clear product vision, design direction, and UX guidance—your job is to own the technical execution end to end.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and deploy the full-stack platform independently, making key technical decisions on frameworks, infrastructure, and database design. Develop the artist onboarding and intake system, including account management, artwork upload workflows, and subscription payment integration.
- Build the cloud-based screen communication and scheduling engine that pushes artwork templates to digital displays across multiple locations.
- Design and implement the public-facing website with a focus on clean UX/UI and brand-aligned design. Integrate payment processing for artist subscriptions. Set up CI/CD pipelines, cloud hosting, and a scalable architecture that supports future growth. Collaborate closely with the founder on product decisions, translating business vision into technical solutions.
- Move fast—deliver features and updates within days, not weeks. The expectation is rapid, iterative development with clear progress visibility. Lay the technical foundation for a growing engineering team as the company scales. Experience 3–8 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer, with a demonstrated ability to independently build and ship products.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong proficiency in both front-end and back-end development with a modern tech stack (e.g., React/Next.js, Node.js, Python/Django, or equivalent).
- Experience building web applications from scratch—not just contributing to existing codebases. Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment best practices.
- Experience with database design and management (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Payment gateway integration experience (Stripe, Razorpay, or similar). Strong API design and development skills (RESTful and/or GraphQL).
- Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and own the entire development lifecycle. Fast execution speed with a bias toward shipping and iterating quickly.
- Excellent communication skills—ability to clearly articulate technical decisions to non-technical founders.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with digital signage systems or IoT/cloud-to-device communication.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) or media scheduling platforms. UI/UX design sensibility—ability to translate design mockups into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces. Experience working in an early-stage startup environment as a founding or first engineer.
- Background from a top-tier university (e.g., IIT or equivalent). Experience with mobile app development (React Native, Flutter) for future mobile expansion. Knowledge of image optimization, media handling, and template rendering systems.

Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Remote (India-based)
Time Zone: Flexible hours some overlap with US time zones required for communication. No rigid schedules—output and responsiveness matter more than fixed hours.

Interview Process: 2–3 rounds — (1) Introductory call & portfolio review, (2) Technical assessment with a small coding exercise, (3) Final culture-fit conversation.
