Founding Engineer

Location: Mumbai (on-site)

Type: Full-time

Were moving from working prototypes to production-grade scale (hundreds thousands of concurrent calls, sub-300ms turn latency, 99.9%+ uptime, auditable logs). We need an owner who can architect, implement, and scale the platform end-to-end.

• Design and build the real-time voice pipeline: telephony <-> ASR <-> LLM orchestration <-> TTS with streaming I/O.
• Own core services: session manager, dialog state, policy/compliance guardrails, analytics/observability.
• Stand up cloud infra from scratch (VPCs, CI/CD, containers/orchestration, secrets, monitoring, cost controls).
• Integrate with client systems and third-party APIs (KYC, CRM, LOS, collections, payments) with robust retry/idempotency.
• Optimize for latency, quality, and cost (model selection, caching, batching, fallback paths).
• Build internal tooling: conversation replayers, red-team/test harnesses, feature flags, experiment pipelines.
• Productionize safety/compliance: consent flows, PII handling, encryption, role-based access, audit trails.
• Measure what matters: concurrency, ASR/TTS/LLM latencies, call success, CSAT proxies, error budgets.
  

• Demonstrated AI builds (personal repos or shipped features at work). Could be voice, NLP, CV-show us real artifacts.
• Strong systems sense: event-driven services, queues/streams, caching, resiliency patterns, backpressure.
• Comfortable with integrations: REST/gRPC/webhooks, auth, schema mapping, sandboxprod hardening.
• High agency and ownership: you default to unblocking yourself, writing docs, and making trade-offs explicit.
• Bonus: telephony (Exotel/Twilio), real-time media (WebRTC, gRPC streaming), ASR/TTS (Whisper/Deepgram/Azure/ElevenLabs), vector DB/RAG, Kafka/Redis, Postgres.

• Software developer (seniority flexible; quality of experience > years).
• Open to working from our Mumbai office.
• Full-time only.
• Prior exposure to finance, gaming, or AI sectors is preferred
