GoodBreach is a behaviour-first, AI-powered micro-savings platform helping Gen Z & Millennials save without budgeting fatigue. We have a working MVP and are currently in beta testing with real users.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Founding Engineering Intern (Full-Stack) who is comfortable working across backend, frontend, integrations, and testing, and who wants to help shape the product during beta and beyond.

You'll work directly with the Founder and Platform Lead to:

Stabilise and improve the MVP

Revamp features based on beta feedback

Build dashboards and security foundations

Prepare and later contribute to AI model development

This is a high-ownership, hands-on roleyour code will ship to production.

What You'll Work On

1) Full-Stack Product Development

Build and maintain backend services using NestJS (preferred)

Develop frontend features using Next.js (preferred)

Contribute to mobile features using Flutter (nice to have)

Improve APIs, data models, and application performance

2) Third-Party API Integrations

Integrate and manage external APIs:

Payments / wallets

Analytics

Open Banking abstractions

Handle authentication, webhooks, retries, and error handling

Ensure integrations are secure, reliable, and well-documented

3) MVP & Beta Testing Support

Support MVP and beta testing cycles:

bug fixing

regression testing

feature tweaks based on feedback

Collaborate with product to iterate quickly (build test learn)

Improve logging, monitoring, and observability

4) Metrics, Dashboards & Security

Implement event tracking and define clear beta metrics:

onboarding & activation

savings actions & streaks

nudge engagement

retention

Build internal dashboards for product decisions

Implement foundational security parameters:

authentication & access control

encryption (at rest & in transit)

secure API practices

consent-driven data handling

5) AI Capabilities & Models

Implement rule-based insights and nudges during beta

Prepare clean, structured datasets for modelling

Contribute to AI model development post-beta, such as:

spend pattern detection

savings propensity scoring

personalised nudge timing

Work on translating AI outputs into user-friendly actions

Tech Stack (Current / Preferred)

Backend: NestJS (Node.js)

Frontend: Next.js

Mobile: Flutter (nice to have)

Database: PostgreSQL / Firebase

Cloud: AWS / GCP

AI: Rules ML models (post-beta)

Tools: Git, CI/CD, API testing tools

Who Should Apply

Final-year students or recent graduates (CS / IT / Engineering)

Interested in fintech, AI-powered products, and startups

Can commit 35 hours/week

Bonus (Nice to Have)

Flutter or mobile app experience

Experience with analytics or dashboards

Exposure to fintech or regulated systems

ML / AI projects or coursework
