At GreedyGame, we are building at the intersection of app monetization, user acquisition, adtech, and growth. Through PubScale, our products help apps and game developers drive monetization and scale through AdX, Offerwall, user acquisition, and related growth solutions. The company describes its fundamentals as being built on experimentation and questioning the status quo, which is exactly the mindset this role needs.

Note: We already have a few people in the broader data setup. But this role is different.

This is not a role for someone looking to inherit a perfectly structured function, plug into a mature playbook, or wait for clean problem statements to arrive. This is for someone who gets excited by ambiguity, sees messy systems as opportunity, and genuinely wants to build a high-impact data science charter from the ground up.

We are looking for a founding data scientist who wants to create the domain, shape the roadmap, solve real business problems one by one, and eventually build a team under that charter. This is the kind of role for a startup-minded operator who likes solving big, messy, 10,000-foot problems but in an organized, thoughtful way, by breaking them down and building real systems that last.

This will not be a comfortable job.

It will be a meaningful one.

You will be the person who helps us answer questions like:

  • What should we optimize first across monetization, UA, and publisher growth
  • Where are we losing revenue, efficiency, or decision speed
  • Which patterns matter, and which are just noise
  • What models, frameworks, or systems should exist here that do not exist today

PubScale's business sits in a space where better data decisions directly affect outcomes like installs, DAU quality, LTV, ROI, revenue uplift, and monetization performance, so this role needs someone who can connect data work to real commercial impact.

What This Role Is Really About

  • You will build from scratch.
  • Not just dashboards. Not just experiments. Not just models in isolation.
  • You will define what good data science should look like here.
  • That means identifying the highest-value problems, bringing structure to ambiguity, creating frameworks, influencing product and business decisions, and building credibility through outcomes. Over time, you will also help shape the team, standards, and data science culture for this function.
  • This is a role for someone who has done this before in some form someone who can point to a real problem they solved, explain the trade-offs, show the business impact, and tell us what changed because they were there.
  • We are not looking for a job-hopper who has touched many things lightly.
  • We are looking for someone who has stayed long enough to build, improve, and leave a visible mark.

What You'll Do

  • Build the data science charter for a fast-moving adtech and app growth business
  • Identify high-value opportunities across monetization, user acquisition, experimentation, pricing, segmentation, and optimization
  • Create models, decision systems, and analytical frameworks that improve business outcomes
  • Work closely with product, business, engineering, and leadership to translate ambiguous problems into clear execution paths
  • Bring rigor to experimentation, measurement, and prioritization
  • Establish best practices for how data science should be used across the organization
  • Help us move from reactive analysis to proactive decision-making
  • Over time, hire and build a strong team under this domain

  • You have changed jobs too quickly to build depth and ownership
  • You are strong technically but have not yet driven visible business impact

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in Data Science, Applied Analytics, Decision Science, or a similar domain
  • Proven examples of solving business-critical problems with measurable impact
  • Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, modeling, and product/business thinking
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • High ownership, high clarity, and strong communication
  • Bonus if you have worked in adtech, gaming, marketplaces, growth, monetization, or user acquisition domains
