About the Role

We are looking for someone who has already worked on or built backend systems around AI products, data systems, agents, or large-scale product workflows.

This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving startup environment. You'll work closely with the founding team across backend APIs, data pipelines, AI agents, prompt orchestration, cloud infrastructure, deployment, and product-facing workflows.

You'll work on:

• Building and scaling backend APIs for recruiter, talent intelligence, workforce analytics, and career products

• Designing systems for search, filtering, recommendations, analytics, outreach workflows, and product-facing data delivery

• Working with large workforce datasets across profiles, companies, jobs, skills, salaries, industries, and career transitions

• Building data pipelines, ingestion workflows, background jobs, scheduled jobs, and reliable data layers

• Developing AI agent workflows, LLM integrations, prompt orchestration, and tool-calling systems

• Working with FastAPI, Snowflake, Postgres, Supabase, and cloud/deployment infrastructure

• Debugging, monitoring, and improving backend reliability, latency, and performance

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong Python backend engineering experience, strong SQL skills, and experience building production APIs

• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Snowflake, Postgres, Supabase, and large-scale data systems

• Experience with AI agents, LLM workflows, prompt orchestration, tool calling, and backend systems for AI products

• Experience building data pipelines, background jobs, ETL workflows, scheduled jobs, and product-facing data layers

• Experience with cloud deployment, Docker, AWS, Render, or similar infrastructure

• Good understanding of backend architecture, databases, system design, debugging, and production reliability

• Ability to work independently, move fast, and take ownership in a startup environment

Preferred:

• Experience building or working with MCP servers

• Experience with RAG, embeddings, or retrieval systems

• Experience working in an early-stage startup backend environment

• Basic React understanding to test how backend systems flow into the product

• Experience in workforce analytics, recruiting tech, HR tech, labor market data, or talent intelligence products

This role is best suited for someone who has built real systems before, not someone starting from scratch.
