Job Description

About Us

At PedalStart, we run a sector-agnostic early-stage startup accelerator fund, supporting founders and backing them from ideation to pre-series stages. Our mission is to empower founders with the resources and expertise necessary for rapid scaling. We typically write $100-150k cheques across domains and actively invest in up rounds through our network of angels and VCs.

Role Overview:

PedalStart is seeking a sharp, high-energy Founder's Office professional to work directly with the Founder. This is not a conventional EA role; you will be a trusted extension of the Founder, deeply embedded in their day-to-day, helping them stay focused, move fast, and make things happen. The role demands strong organizational discipline, proactive communication, and the ability to hold the fort and make informed decisions when the Founder is unavailable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the Founder's calendar: schedule, prioritize, and optimize meetings, commitments, and deadlines with precision
  • Maintain and track checklists across ongoing tasks, projects, and follow-ups to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Set and communicate task priorities, helping the Founder focus on what matters most each day
  • Send proactive follow-ups and reminders to the Founder and relevant stakeholders without being prompted
  • Shadow the Founder across meetings, calls, and key interactions to stay fully in context
  • Step in during the Founder's absence- take informed, trusted decisions on their behalf when needed
  • Bring consistent positive energy that keeps momentum going across interactions and commitments

Key Deliverables/ KPIs

  • Calendar and checklist adherence: zero missed commitments or dropped follow-ups
  • Quality and timeliness of reminders and stakeholder follow-throughs
  • Decision accuracy and coverage during the Founder's absence
  • CRM / task hygiene and daily priority tracking discipline
  • Founder time saved and focused hours protected

What are we looking for

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in any relevant field
  • 2–4 years of experience as a Founders Office, Chief of Staff, or in a similar high-trust, founder-facing role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with close attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High emotional intelligence: the ability to read people, situations, and priorities quickly
  • Discreet, reliable, and calm under pressure
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, fast-changing priorities, and a high-ownership environment
  • Proficiency with calendar and productivity tools (Google Calendar, Notion, Slack, or similar)

Skills & Competencies

  • High ownership and follow-through with zero hand-holding
  • Strong judgment: ability to prioritize and decide independently
  • Discretion and trust: handles sensitive information with maturity
  • Proactive communication and stakeholder management
  • Comfort working across tools, dashboards, and fast-paced workflows

What We Offer

  • Front-row seat to how an early-stage fund and startup ecosystem is built
  • Opportunity to work directly with the Founder across strategy, operations, and investments
  • High-impact role with real responsibility from day one
  • Competitive compensation with performance-linked incentives

Working Days: 6 days (WFO)

Compensation: 18-20LPA (Based on Experience)

Experience: 3-4 years

Location: Bengaluru/ Gurgaon
