Role Overview
This role sits at the center of strategy and execution. You will work directly with the founders and leadership team on critical business priorities, founder-led projects, review cadences, KPI and OKR tracking, hiring support, and analytical deep dives across functions.
You should be someone who has already worked closely with founders or senior leadership in a growth-stage startup, has strong business judgment, is highly structured, strong with numbers, and can independently drive follow-through across teams.
This is not a passive coordination role. This role requires someone who can bring order to chaos, push for closure, identify what matters, and help the founders stay on top of the most important moving pieces across the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive Founder-Led Projects
- Work directly with the founders on high-priority strategic and execution-focused initiatives
- Independently drive special projects across functions from problem definition to closure
- Translate founder ideas and business priorities into structured plans, action items, owners, and timelines
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure founder-led initiatives move with speed and accountability
- Flag bottlenecks, ownership gaps, slippages, and decision points proactively
2. KPI, OKR, and Target Tracking
- Build and manage org-wide systems for tracking KPIs, OKRs, business targets, and strategic priorities
- Work with leaders across teams to ensure metrics are clearly defined, tracked regularly, and reviewed with rigor
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboards and review summaries for the founders and leadership team
- Improve visibility into what is on track, off track, and needs intervention
- Ensure action items from reviews are documented, assigned, and followed through to closure
3. Cross-Functional Business Analysis
- Analyze business performance across growth, sales, customer success, support, operations, finance, partnerships, product, and hiring
- Conduct deep dives into performance trends, bottlenecks, leakages, and business opportunities
- Break down ambiguous business problems into structured analysis, hypotheses, findings, and recommendations
- Surface insights that help founders make faster and better decisions
- Support decision-making with clean, data-backed notes and business cases
4. Leadership Review and Operating Cadence
- Support the founders in running strong weekly, monthly, and quarterly operating reviews
- Standardize review formats, scorecards, trackers, and follow-up systems across functions
- Consolidate inputs from multiple teams into crisp founder-ready summaries
- Help build stronger management discipline around reviews, accountability, and execution tracking
- Act as a continuity layer to ensure decisions and pending actions are not lost
5. Cross-Functional Execution and Follow-Through
- Work with leaders across departments to drive alignment and momentum on business-critical priorities
- Ensure interdependent projects do not stall due to lack of coordination or unclear ownership
- Push teams for timely updates, sharper thinking, and stronger closure discipline
- Serve as an execution partner to the founders by keeping high-priority initiatives moving
6. Founder Hiring Support
- Support founders in hiring for critical roles across functions
- Help define role charters, interview processes, and evaluation criteria for important hires
- Assist in screening profiles, structuring interview workflows, and ensuring timely candidate movement
- Coordinate with hiring managers, recruiters, and founders to maintain speed and quality in hiring
- Prepare founder-ready summaries on candidates, interview feedback, and decision points
- Track hiring funnel progress for priority roles and flag bottlenecks, delays, and drop-offs
- Bring structure and rigor to founder-led hiring processes, especially for leadership and high-impact roles
What We're Looking For
- 4–8 years of experience in Founder's Office, Business Operations, CEO's Office, or similar cross-functional roles
- Must have worked directly with founders / senior leadership
- Must have experience in driving founder-led projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Must have experience in tracking KPIs, OKRs, targets, review cadences, and action items
- Must have some prior exposure to hiring support, recruitment coordination, founder-led hiring, or talent projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong command over Excel / Google Sheets; comfort with data, reporting, and structured analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High ownership, urgency, and attention to detail
- Ability to work across teams and drive closure in a fast-moving startup environment
- Comfortable handling ambiguity, changing priorities, and founder-led speed
Preferred Background
- Experience in a growth-stage startup or high-growth company
- Experience in SaaS, internet, fintech, B2B tech, or founder-led startup environments
- Strong exposure to business reviews, target tracking, org-level planning, and execution systems
- Prior involvement in hiring for business, operations, product, growth, or leadership roles
- Ability to convert messy information into structured plans, documents, dashboards, and recommendations
- Exposure to SQL, BI tools, or advanced analytics is a plus
