Keyrus is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Data & AI team in Singapore and support the delivery of high-impact AI, analytics, and data engineering solutions for enterprise clients across APAC.
This is a hybrid role at the intersection of data engineering, AI solution delivery, business consulting, and client-facing implementation. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technology leaders to understand business challenges, translate them into technical solutions, and help build production-ready data and AI applications.
You will be involved in projects such as enterprise AI assistants, GenAI and RAG solutions, data platforms, customer 360, analytics products, automation workflows, and operational AI use cases across industries including retail, luxury, F&B, financial services, healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients to understand business needs, data landscape, workflows, and operational pain points.
- Translate business requirements into practical data, analytics, and AI solution designs.
- Build and deploy data pipelines, APIs, dashboards, prototypes, and AI-powered applications.
- Support the development of GenAI and agentic AI solutions, including RAG pipelines, enterprise search, document intelligence, and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, architects, product teams, and business users to move solutions from prototype to production.
- Connect and integrate data from multiple systems such as databases, APIs, cloud platforms, business applications, and document repositories.
- Prepare demos, technical documentation, solution walkthroughs, and client-facing materials.
- Support pre-sales and discovery workshops by helping shape solution ideas, feasibility assessments, and implementation roadmaps.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise data governance standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, AI engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
- Experience building data pipelines, APIs, data models, or analytics applications.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or similar.
- Good understanding of modern data architecture concepts such as lakehouse, ETL/ELT, data modelling, semantic layers, and BI consumption.
- Experience with at least one BI or analytics tool such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving client environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Comfortable working directly with clients and business stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG architecture, LangChain, vector databases, agents, or enterprise AI assistants.
- Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Dataiku, or Glean.
- Experience with enterprise search, knowledge management, workflow automation, or AI copilots.
- Exposure to MLOps, CI/CD, Git, Docker, Terraform, or cloud deployment practices.
- Consulting, pre-sales, or client-facing project experience.
- Experience in retail, luxury, F&B, insurance, banking, logistics, healthcare, or manufacturing.
