Job Title: Assistant Design Manager – Formwork

Industry: Construction / Engineering

Location: Andheri

Experience: 5–8 years of experience in formwork design, structural design, or construction engineering, with prior team handling experience. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of Revit or similar tools is an advantage). Experience in managing multiple projects, coordinating with stakeholders, and meeting production targets is preferred.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an Assistant Design Manager to lead and manage the formwork design team. This role involves overseeing design delivery, ensuring alignment with project specifications and manufacturing requirements, and managing team performance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Management

● Lead, mentor, and manage the design team to ensure high performance and productivity.

● Allocate tasks and monitor workload distribution to meet project requirements.

● Identify skill gaps and support training and development initiatives.

2. Planning & Delivery Management

● Plan and prioritize design activities to meet production schedules and deadlines.

● Manage multiple design deliverables and ensure timely project execution.

● Track progress and ensure all outputs are delivered within agreed timelines.

3. Design Quality & Compliance

● Ensure all formwork designs meet technical specifications and project requirements.

● Align designs with manufacturing feasibility and operational constraints.

● Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality across all deliverables.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

● Coordinate with internal teams including factory, business development, and project stakeholders.

● Act as a key point of contact for design-related discussions and approvals.

● Proactively address and escalate design challenges or risks.

5. Performance Monitoring & Process Improvement

● Monitor team performance against targets and identify potential risks or delays.

● Implement corrective actions to ensure quality, cost, and timeline objectives are met.

● Drive continuous improvement in design processes and workflows.

6. General Responsibilities

● Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of work.

● Be flexible to support business needs during peak project phases.

● Take on additional responsibilities aligned with organizational requirements.
