Role Description
As a Forklift Sales Engineer, you will serve as a technical consultant to our clients. This isn't just about selling a machine; it's about analyzing a client's floor plan, load requirements, and operational bottlenecks to engineer the perfect equipment solution. You will bridge the gap between technical capability and commercial viability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Solutioning: Conduct detailed site surveys to evaluate floor conditions, racking heights, and aisle widths to recommend the right equipment (Battery-operated, Diesel, or Reach Trucks).
- Business Development: Identify and penetrate new industrial accounts in the Pune and Sangli regions.
- Consultative Selling: Lead technical presentations and product demonstrations that highlight ROI, maintenance cycles, and fuel/energy efficiency.
- Account Management: Maintain long-term technical support and relationships with key stakeholders in manufacturing, 3PL, and retail sectors.
- Tender & Negotiation: Prepare technical bid documents, manage the sales pipeline in the CRM, and negotiate high-value contracts.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret load charts, understand hydraulic systems, and explain battery/engine specifications to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Industry Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in sales of capital equipment, material handling, or construction machinery.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record in B2B industrial sales with strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Tools: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
