Footwear Design Internship in Delhi

Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

• Footwear design and concept development
• Assist in developing footwear concepts and design options for school children across different age groups.
• Create initial sketches, design concepts, and visual references for footwear.
• Develop design variations based on functionality, comfort, school requirements, and market trends.
• Assist in creating design boards, mood boards, color palettes, and product presentations.
• Support the development of designs from concept stage through sampling and finalization.
• Product development and sampling
• Research and recommend suitable materials, colors, components, soles, and trims for footwear.
• Assist in preparing product specifications, design details, and technical references.
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for sample development and modifications.
• Review samples and provide design feedback based on fit, comfort, appearance, functionality, and quality.
• Maintain records of samples, design changes, specifications, and approvals.
• Support product improvements based on feedback from internal teams, schools, customers, and market observations.
• Trend and market research
• Conduct research on current footwear trends, materials, colors, construction techniques, and design innovations.
• Study competitor and market offerings in school and children's footwear.
• Identify opportunities to improve the functionality, comfort, aesthetics, and value proposition of KOTU footwear.
• Collaboration and execution
• Work closely with the design, sourcing, merchandising, and operations teams on footwear development.
• Coordinate with vendors for sampling, revisions, and product development timelines.
• Participate in design review and brainstorming sessions.
• Assist in ensuring approved designs are developed as per specifications and timelines.
• Support documentation and coordination throughout the product development cycle.
