We are expanding rapidly and looking for an organized, detail-oriented Merchandiser to strengthen our production and order management operations.
Role OverviewWe're hiring a Footwear & Apparel Merchandiser to manage order intake, oversee production movement, track progress, flag delays, and ensure smooth dispatch readiness. This is a key coordination role at the centre of our workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities
Order Intake & Documentation- Prepare accurate production order sheets for footwear and apparel.
- Update order trackers in real time and ensure orders are assigned correctly to production teams.
- Verify missing or unclear order information and resolve internally before production begins.
Production Oversight & Monitoring- Track daily progress of all orders across production stages.
- Identify bottlenecks early and raise alerts for delays or slow-moving orders.
- Work closely with the production team to improve workflow, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Ensure priority and aging orders are pushed through without delay.
Cross-Team Collaboration- Coordinate with Customer Service to provide accurate order status and timelines.
- Highlight production risks early so customer communications remain aligned.
- Work with production teams to resolve issues and improve process efficiency.
Materials & Inventory Coordination- Monitor material availability required for ongoing and upcoming batches.
- Coordinate with procurement for timely supply of leather, fabrics, soles, and trims.
- Raise alerts for shortages or vendor delays that may impact production timelines.
Dispatch Readiness- Track when orders clear finishing and QC to prepare for packing.
- Maintain a daily dispatch-ready list and coordinate handover to logistics.
- Ensure packaging materials and documentation are prepared in advance.
Reporting & Escalation- Maintain production dashboards and trackers with complete accuracy.
- Share daily or weekly reports on orders in progress, completed orders, and delayed orders.
- Escalate material shortages, production delays, or capacity issues immediately.
- Provide reliable ETAs based on real-time workshop updates.
What We're Looking For- Experience in merchandising, production coordination, or manufacturing operations (footwear or apparel preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with disciplined follow-up habits.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ability to identify delays early and drive timely resolutions.
- Knowledge of leather, fabrics, trims, or footwear/apparel construction is a plus.
