ABOUT
Agnikul Cosmos is a company incubated at IIT Madras and we build rockets that can take satellites up to 500 kg to Lower Earth Orbit (LEO). In May 2024, we successfully completed our maiden launch from our own launchpad (India's first private launchpad). The launch has proven all the new technologies developed by Agnikul and also earned recognition from Honourable Prime Minister of India
We are seeking a skilled professional responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of fluid and gas distribution systems, including industrial gas cylinders, piping networks, and pressurized systems. The role involves supporting system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and safe handling of pressurized and cryogenic fluids in compliance with safety and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Fluid Systems & Piping :
Install, assemble, and maintain fluid and gas piping systems
Perform pipe routing, fitting, and leak testing
Support commissioning and operation of pressurized and cryogenic systems
Interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and layout drawings
Ensure proper selection and installation of valves, regulators, gauges, and fittings
Industrial Gas Cylinder Operations :
Handle and operate high-pressure industrial gas cylinders (e.g., nitrogen, helium,
oxygen, compressed air)
Perform safe storage, transportation, and connection of gas cylinders
Monitor gas usage, pressure levels, and system performance
Follow cylinder safety, labeling, and compliance requirements
Testing & Troubleshooting :
Conduct pressure testing, leak testing, and purging operations
Identify and troubleshoot system leaks or performance issues
Support system startup, shutdown, and emergency procedures
Safety & Compliance :
Adhere to safety standards for pressurized and hazardous fluids
Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment
Maintain documentation and logs for system operation and maintenance
Requirements
Required :
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience with fluid systems, piping, or gas distribution
Ability to read P&IDs and engineering drawings
Knowledge of valves, regulators, fittings, and pressure systems
Understanding of industrial safety practices
Preferred :
Experience with cryogenic systems or high-pressure systems
Familiarity with ASME/ISO piping standards
Experience in testing facilities, manufacturing plants, or aerospace environments.
